SERVICES
One of the goals of FIRST's FTC is to reach out to one's community and be active, and to spread STEM to others. Here is the team's efforts to honor that goal:
ST. HELENS
During the Ultimate Goal season, the NDCL Robotics Team traveled to St. Helen Elementary School to present to their junior high students. The team talked about the game of the season, what FIRST is, and what is expected of each time. In addition, the team demonstrated that year's robot.
LABRE
During this season, the team traveled around to several locations in Cleveland to deliver food, clothing, and supplies to those who are less fortunate. They got a chance to not only help others but also talk with them and learn about their unique life experiences, and give them someone to talk with for a few hours.
OPEN HOUSES
Throughout the school year, NDCL has hosted open houses where clubs and teams alike demonstrated what they were all about (including the robotics team!). In these, the team demonstrates their robot and introduces FIRST to others.
